Fry Says ‘Aye’ To Master of Malt Whisky

CROWBOROUGH, England - Online whisky merchant Master of Malt has received a ringing endorsement from Stephen Fry, who proclaims their 19-year-old Tomatin to be his new favourite dram.

Britain’s favourite celebrity, TV host, comic actor, raconteur and all-round wit saluted the Highland single malt in a letter to Master of Malt. In typically baroque fashion, Fry praises the whisky as “astoundingly delicious… like ethereal Dundee Cake” and goes on to give a description of Tomatin:

On the release of his 1994 novel The Hippopotamus, which over-zealous fans marked by inundating him with toy hippos, he said: “it really is very kind of them. But I have decided that my next book will be called ‘18 Year Old Malt Whisky’.”
