By The International Association For Measurement And Evaluation Of Communication, PRNEWednesday, June 2, 2010
LONDON, June 3, 2010 - Caspar de Bono, the Managing Director of B2B, Financial Times, is the
latest top speaker to be announced for the 2nd European Summit on Measurement
organised by AMEC and the Institute for Public Relations to be held in
Barcelona from 16-18 June.
He is joining a panel of speakers on Wednesday 16th June who will talk
about "News online - an uneasy birth", a workshop examining the impact and
developments of content licensing.
Mr. de Bono is responsible for the business to business (B2B) activities
of the Financial Times Ltd which includes the FT's syndication and corporate
content sales. He leads the initiative to create direct relationships with
the corporate users of FT journalism. This required a switch from a wholesale
model, where third parties could sell subscriptions to FT journalism, to one
where the FT forms a direct relationship with the corporate user and
permissions access rights via multiple platforms. He became a board member of
the Financial Times Ltd in January 2007. For more details on this workshop
session and all the programme speakers visit the Summit website
(www.ameceuropeansummit.org/).
Jeremy Thompson, Chairman of AMEC's Licensing Committee and Managing
Director of Durrants, said: "We are delighted Caspar has agreed to talk at
the Summit. The workshop on content licensing is of real business importance
to communications professionals."

Officer of Havas, one of the world's leading global advertising and
communications services groups; Juan Manuel Cendoya, Global Marketing and
