GoldenSource to Discuss Mitigating Risk Through Data Management at APFIC 2010 in Hong Kong

LONDON, September 28, 2010 - GoldenSource Corporation (bit.ly/dhYIHs), a leading provider of
Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions (bit.ly/9ygs9I), will
discuss how to mitigate risk with high quality data at this year's Asia
Pacific Financial Information Conference (APFIC). The event will take place
at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong, October 11th-13th, and will address
the business and technical issues affecting risk management professionals.
The Asia Pacific market is in a strong position to attract risk-averse
investors looking to achieve a real-time view of their exposure. The lack of
legacy systems its counterparts have to address give the financial
institutions in the region greater flexibility in implementing a centralized
system. A consolidated data management system is critical to achieving a
company-wide view of exposure and counterparties. As data volumes grow, this
will become even more of a challenge for the financial services industry.
Nassar Ahmad (bit.ly/bDxjvw), Director Client Operations, Asia
Pacific at GoldenSource, will participate in a panel at 11:50am HKT,
discussing how to mitigate risk with high quality data, along with
industry colleagues from ISJ Emerging Market, Barclay's Capital and UBS. They
will address the impact of poor data quality upon other critical business
functions, such as performance and client reporting, and how consolidated
operational and decision support systems help to achieve a company-wide view
of risk. The panel will also discuss:
- The benefits of using timely and high quality data to reduce the potential for errors; - How to measure data quality by implementing metrics in both source and downstream systems; - How to ensure data quality remains consistent and operational support is available; and - Whether there is a business case for adopting international standards to help improve quality.
APFIC is hosted by association group SIIA/FSID and publications Inside
Market Data and Inside Reference Data. For more information, please go to

Press note: Nassar Ahmad is available for press interviews prior to the
event. Please contact Nicola Garvin at the information below to coordinate an
