Leading Financial Markets Trainer Peter Leahy to Head Hoare Capital Markets Training Division

LONDON, November 18 - Hoare Capital Markets, the financial services boutique, has appointed
Peter Leahy to set up and lead its new Financial Markets Training Division.
The move represents another bold new step in the rapid growth of the company.

Speaking of the appointment, Nicholas Hoare said: 'Hoare Capital Markets
recognises that there is strong demand for high quality, market-oriented
training as financial, fund-related entities and corporate institutions move
to ensure they operate profitably and with due regard to regulatory issues
and in-depth, ongoing product training. By appointing Peter Leahy, who has
both extensive real-world market experience, as well as unique international
training experience, we are confident that the training division will deliver
added value to our clients. The division will deliver practical, interactive,
hands-on training. Peter and his associate Chris Cummin's current work in
relation to the impact of the Retail Distribution Review on retail structured
products is a good example of this.'

Peter Leahy's background includes senior fixed-income sales roles at JP
Morgan and at Bear Stearns, where he was responsible for developing and
selling asset backed and derivatives products. He has specialised in the
fixed income and fixed income-related capital markets, including derivatives,
repo and swaps, working in financial markets for more than 25 years and with
institutions at the highest level on matters concerning the international
capital markets.

Peter Leahy has presented many public and private training programmes on
credit derivatives and securitisation, Structured Products and Fixed-Income
generally. Financial institutions that have used Peter's services globally
include the Bank of America, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Man Financial, Merrill
Lynch, JP Morgan and the Bank of England. Peter has trained these and many
other institutions worldwide.

Leahy also has considerable experience as an expert witness and is a
visiting lecturer at numerous prestigious business schools.

Hoare Capital Markets' training portfolio is made up of three key subject
areas: Compliance, Technical Training and Product Training. Courses can be
customised to support the specific needs of individual clients, or taken in
standard format.

Along with Peter Leahy, the Financial Markets Training Division team
currently comprises Chris Cummins LLB PgDip DMS LLM MSc MPhil, David Clark
MA, Garry Mc Namara MSc BEng and Robin Brown.
