LONDON, January 13, 2011 - December and January have seen heavy rain and flooding across
Queensland, Australia. Three-quarters of Queensland, an area almost the size
of France and Germany combined, has been declared a disaster zone. Ipswich
and Toowoomba have also experienced severe flash flooding and the riverside
city of Brisbane is expected to remain flooded for several days.
Due to this natural disaster, HostelBookers, the budget
accommodation specialist, has announced that a deposit refund will be honored
for the thousands of customers who have booked accommodation through
HostelBookers.com in the affected Queensland area. To learn more, customers
can email the HostelBookers.com Customer Service Team directly at
CustomerHelpDesk@hostelbookers.com and they will look at all queries on a
case by case basis.
HostelBookers is the only budget accommodation website in the
travel industry that does not apply a service charge and is, on average, 8.7%
cheaper than its nearest competitor. It features over 20,000 hostels and
budget properties on its website in 3,500 destinations across the world.
