London Mums Facing Mother's Day Snub

LONDON, March 10, 2010 - MUMS living in the UK capital are among the least likely to receive
flowers on Mother's Day.

Compared to the majority of towns and cities in Britain, research says
London mothers are among the least appreciated by their children.

London came a lowly 56th in a national league table of locations where
mums are likely to receive flowers. It was compiled by award-winning online

The survey claims the luckiest mums live in York, followed closely by
Norwich, Colchester and Cambridge.

But while Ipswich came rock bottom in 60th place, London also languished
near the foot of the league table.

at our Mother's Day sales figures from previous years and examined which
towns and cities were the most - and least - likely to receive flowers."

"We also took into account population sizes. It surprised us that London
is near the bottom of the table, especially as the standard of living and

Also ending up near the bottom of Serenata's league table is West
Bromwich, Bradford and Blackpool.
