New Releases of Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle Application Development Framework Now Available

Extending its commitment to providing the most complete, open and integrated tools for Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE), SOA and Web 2.0 application development, Oracle today announced the availability of Oracle JDeveloper (www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/index.html) 11g Release 2.

The new release further enhances the overall development experience by delivering an improved Integrated Development Environment (IDE), including support for new technologies and standards, as well as updates to Oracle Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) (www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/overview/index.html) 11g.

Part of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (www.oracle.com/us/products/middleware/index.html) , Oracle JDeveloper is a free integrated development environment that simplifies the development of Java-based SOA applications and user interfaces with support for the full development life cycle.

Oracle JDeveloper 11g Release 2 delivers significant performance and usability improvements. In addition, updates to Oracle ADF 11g further simplify the development experience. New capabilities include:

Oracle JDeveloper 11g is free of charge and available for download from the Oracle Technology Network. An option for technical support can be purchased separately under the Oracle Technology Network license. Oracle ADF 11g is free to download for evaluation and use during development. A production license for Oracle ADF is included with all editions of Oracle WebLogic Server, or can be licensed separately. Terms, conditions and restrictions apply.
