Today Oracle OpenWorld Latin America 2011, now in its fifth year, opened to 11,000 attendees making it the largest gathering of Oracle technology customers, developers, partners and prospects in Latin America. The conference event runs through December 8, 2011 at the Transamerica Expo Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
OpenWorld Latin America 2011 provides a unique opportunity to have direct contact with senior executives and IT specialists. Oracle President Mark Hurd, Oracle Executive Vice President Luiz Meisler and Oracle Brazil President, Cyro Diehl will deliver keynotes to anchor each day’s activities.
Oracle President Mark Hurd will kick off the conference with a keynote on Oracle's vision and strategy. He will also cover Oracle’s Exa-line of engineered systems that deliver extreme performance.
John Fowler, Executive Vice President of Oracle Systems, will lead the session on "Systems Engineering,” commenting on the latest hardware and software offerings such as the recently announced SPARC SuperCluster T4, T4 Servers, Solaris 11, the Oracle Database Appliance and the Sun ZFS Storage Appliances and Pillar Axiom Storage Systems.
Steve Miranda, Oracle’s Senior Vice President of Applications Development, will discuss Oracle Fusion Applications for Latin America - a unique and complete solution.
Oracle Vice President of Product Development, Amit Zavery, will address Oracle’s cloud computing strategy and cloud offerings including the Oracle Public Cloud and Oracle Social Network.
• For the second consecutive year, OpenWorld Latin America 2011 is running JavaOne Latin America concurrently at the Transamerica Expo Center. JavaOne is dedicated to unparalleled Java education, practical hands-on sessions and engaging activities geared toward the developer community.
