Portaltech Scoop 3 Awards at the BCS UK IT Awards Ceremony

LONDON, November 12, 2010 - Portaltech are delighted to have won 3 awards at the prestigious BCS UK
IT awards held in the sparkling Battersea Arena.

The glamorous awards ceremony is organised by the BCS, The Chartered
Institute for IT and Computing Magazine and aims to showcase and celebrate
best practice, innovation and excellence in the IT profession. Finalists are
filtered down from over 300 applications and interviewed in a thorough
grading process by recognised experts in the IT and Digital field. David
Clarke, Chief Executive Officer, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT says:
"I'd like to congratulate the finalists, they can all be proud of their
achievements. The diversity of the projects that have reached this stage is
testament to the impact of IT today."

Against stiff competition from BT, Portaltech's first award win of the
night was the 'R&D Award' - for the development of the QuickLive eCommerce
and mCommerce solution. The judges were impressed by "the customer focused
use of e-commerce technology to transform business execution and growth".

Andrew Walker, CEO of Portaltech was thrilled to receive this award:

The second award of the night went to Portaltech for 'Small IT Supplier
of the Year'. Paul Tough, CTO at Portaltech commented: "This medal means a
lot to us. The last year has been a tricky one for all IT businesses and made
even more critical for us, as we took the decision to invest heavily in the
development of our eCommerce products. We were also one of the first to
market with our QuickLive mobile commerce solution, that enables our

with our success at the UK IT Industry Awards as it's great recognition for

The final award of the night was 'Developer of the Year', for Charles
Wilkinson, Software Engineer at Portaltech. The judges said: "Charles is a
highly professional developer with skills and achievements that are
exceptional for one so young." Mark Adams, Sales & Marketing Director at
Portaltech echoed this: "Charles was nominated for his conscientious,
professional, mature and diligent approach to development. Charles made an
outstanding contribution to the most successful Portaltech QuickLive project
in recent years, leading a very challenging and high profile retail
e-commerce project with ambitious deadlines and diverse deliverables. We
could not be more proud of the growth and skills we have seen Charles develop
since he joined us initially as a year out undergraduate four years and we
are delighted he has been recognised with this award."
