Industry Innovator to Lead Strategy and Development of legal Outsourcing Solutions
LONDON, February 16, 2010 - Leading legal services outsourcing provider CPA Global has appointed Leah
Cooper, former Managing Attorney at Rio Tinto, to its executive team. An
acknowledged innovator in the legal services industry, Leah will be
responsible for leading the strategy and development of CPA Global's legal
services outsourcing solutions for the company's growing portfolio of
clients.
In 2009, Leah received international recognition for
spearheading Rio Tinto's landmark move into legal outsourcing when the
Anglo-Australian mining giant signed an agreement with CPA Global that is
saving the mining company up to 20% annually on its legal costs. Leah's new
role will leverage her extensive in-house experience to help define and
develop bespoke legal outsourcing solutions that will deliver value to other
CPA Global clients.
Excited to join CPA Global, Leah said: "Outsourcing is
changing the legal landscape and CPA Global is at the forefront of that
change. Over the past year, I've worked closely with CPA Global to develop a
new legal model that has delivered high quality, cost effective legal
services. Joining the CPA Global senior management team is an incredible
opportunity to continue to revolutionise the increasingly competitive legal
services market."
CPA Global's Chief Executive Officer, Peter Sewell, said: "We
are delighted to be attracting people of Leah's calibre. It underscores the
huge potential and impact of the legal outsourcing industry. Leah has
considerable experience in running major corporate legal departments, working
both with law firms and legal outsourcing providers, and understands the
pressures and challenges faced by General Counsel and in-house legal teams.
The insights she brings will enable us to provide even better service and
more beneficial solutions to our clients."
