Syngenta, the world's largest agribusiness, has unveiled a new strategy
aimed at taking its offer to farmers around the world "to the next level".

As the Swiss-based firm announced a 6 per cent rise in its 2010 revenues
and growing market share, it released plans to merge its two biggest
divisions, Crop Protection and Seeds, into one unit focused around its
customers.

In a video interview with financial news website www.cantos.com,
CEO Mike Mack said the first stage of the integration would be complete by
2012.

"This is the culmination of plans that have been under way for three
years. Integration doesn't just mean people, it also means offers and I'm
looking forward to being able to take two really strong businesses to a
higher level of performance."
