BEIJING - Moint CDMA handset brings Telegent free-to-air mobile TV to China Telecom CDMA subscribers
Telegent Systems, the company that makes television mobile, and Guizhou Zhenhua Moint Communication Co., Ltd., a leading provider of CDMA mobile phone solutions, today announced the availability of the industry’s first CDMA handset with an analog TV feature - the Moint MT-V810. The handset is the first to bring Telegent’s free-to-air mobile TV feature to CDMA operator networks and is now launched in China Telecom stores in a number of provinces throughout China.
“The ability to enjoy live, free TV in addition to the typical features of a mobile phone adds value to our customers,” said Mr. Ma, vice general manager of eSurfing Telecom Terminal Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Telecom. “The addition of the Zhenhua Moint’s CDMA mobile TV handset to our mobile phone portfolio allows us to capitalize on the popularity of this feature.”
Telegent’s mobile TV feature allows consumers to receive the same live, free over-the-air programming that they enjoy on their television sets at home, providing consumers with mobile access to their favorite news, sports and TV series no matter where they are.
“Free-to-air mobile TV enables operators to recruit and retain subscribers through feature innovation and leadership,” said Weijie Yun, president and CEO of Telegent Systems. “We are delighted to work with China Telecom and Zhenhua Moint to extend the availability of Telegent’s mobile TV solution to CDMA consumers.”
Chengjian Luo, executive vice president of Zhenhua Moint said, “We have consistently led the CDMA market with industry innovation in handset feature and design, and the live, free-to-air TV feature enables us to further differentiate our product offering. We are pleased to partner with Telegent to bring analog TV to CDMA subscribers.”
The MT-V810, in addition to TV and FM radio reception, features a 2.4″ touchscreen and a 1.3 megapixel camera, supports up to six hours of continuous TV viewing time, 200 minutes of talk time and 300 hours standby time and measures 107.9×52.6×16.2mm.
