Rigorous testing confirms seamless Windows Media Center interoperability

SUNNYVALE, California, December 15 - Telegent Systems, the company that makes television mobile, today
announced that it has passed Additional Qualifications for Windows Media
Center in Windows 7 for its PC TV receiver, the TLG2300. The TLG2300 is the
industry's first single-chip DVB-T and NTSC/PAL/SECAM PC TV solution enabling
the reception of free-to-air television on PCs, laptops and netbooks and
other portable devices using existing broadcast and cable infrastructure.
Telegent's successful completion of Microsoft's rigorous interoperability
tests confirms maximum performance and trouble-free, reliable operation of
the TLG2300 on the Windows 7 platform.

"The Additional Qualifications for Windows Media Center in Windows 7
provide OEMs with assurance that Telegent's TLG2300 can be easily integrated
into their existing hardware and systems," said Chris Williams, Director of
Program Management, TV, Video and Music business group at Microsoft. "We are
pleased to partner with Telegent in enabling a core scenario for Windows
Media Center."

As the world's first single-chip solution supporting both digital and
worldwide analog TV standards, the TLG2300 combines the benefits of digital
TV with the widespread availability of analog, enabling live TV reception
regardless of digital deployment. The solution's low thermal profile and
small size enables manufacturers for the first time to reliably embed hybrid
free-to-air TV in new products such as all-in-one PCs and netbooks or in a
slim, attractive dongle accessory while delivering the broadest broadcast TV
coverage area to the consumer.

"Microsoft's vision for Windows 7 - the convergence of computer, phone
and TV screen - is well aligned with our corporate vision of delivering TV to
every screen," said Don Stark, Telegent's vice president of engineering.
"Microsoft's certification program helps the ecosystem accelerate delivery of
PC TV solutions to the consumer and improve the overall consumer experience.
The Additional Qualifications reduce the testing and verification required by
OEMs to incorporate the TLG2300 into their Windows 7-based PC products."

The TLG2300 is in production and shipping on Windows operating systems in
all-in-one PCs, netbooks and dongles.
