NUREMBERG, Deutschland, February 22, 2011 - In which city do hotel guests receive the most, and in which the least,
value for their money? During the first quarter of 2011 hotel.info [
www.hotel.info ], the free online hotel reservation service with more
than 210,000 hotels worldwide, analysed the evaluations of its customers in
respect of value for money.
For the first time hotel.info [ www.hotel.info ] expanded its
analysis of value for money to 2 to 5 star hotels in Turkey. This means that
frequently booked business hotels in the budget category are now included in
the following analysis as well as hotels in the mid and upper range (3 to 5
stars) as previously. Additionally the 5 star segment is once again
representing the luxury end of the market.
- Turkey: Izmir well in the lead; Ankara not amongst the top three - Worldwide: Tallinn, the Cultural Capital of 2011 is in fourth place; Moscow just missed a place in the Top 20
The hotels in Izmir gained an evaluation of 7.63 from their guests and
were by far and away the best for value for money in Turkey. The city on the
shores of the Aegean gained first place in front of Istanbul, the largest
city in the country. Antalya, with its important airport for the holiday
area, came third with 6.72 points. Hotel guests in Ankara were less satisfied
with the value for money offered. The capital city, with only 5.92 points,
was not placed amongst the top three.
