First of Zynga's Games to be Offered in Indonesian and Turkish Languages
SAN FRANCISCO, February 22, 2011 - Zynga today announced its newest game phenomenon, CityVille, is now
available in Indonesian and Turkish bringing the number of offered languages
for the game to eight.
Indonesian and Turkish are more language 'firsts' for Zynga and are
important markets for the company as it expands internationally. Building
from the global success of CityVille, an increased number of players around
the world will now be able to play the game in their native languages.
CityVille has more than 20 million daily players worldwide with a large
percentage of people playing the game each day in French, Italian, German or
Spanish languages, which were included in the game's global launch in
December 2010. Both Indonesian and Turkish are among the top 5 languages on
Facebook and continue to grow at a tremendous pace.
The launch is part of Zynga's on-going commitment to international
expansion and enhancing players' overall user experience by enabling them to
play in their native language. In March, Zynga plans to launch Mafia Wars in
Indonesian, Turkish and Portuguese as the next of its popular games to be
offered in these languages.
CityVille allows players to build their dream city from the ground up,
where one can grow a thriving town, balance the needs of citizens, run
restaurants and businesses and harvest crops. The growth of a town is in the
hands of the player. As the city leader, players must guide their city to
become a thriving metropolis, clearing the land and getting play-by-play tips
from their own city advisor. CityVille also features Zynga's first
3D-rendered buildings and characters, and is the most interactive Zynga game
board to date.
