LONDON, February 21, 2010 - Internationally renowned photojournalist, Tom Stoddart, has today
revealed a series of portraits capturing some of England's most famous
goalkeepers as part of a commission from FA Cup sponsor E.ON. The portraits
will be one of the highlights of the "Life Between the Sticks" photographic
exhibition which will run in the build up to The FA Cup Final.

For a chance to feature in the photography exhibition and be rewarded
with the chance to go pitch side to photograph The FA Cup Final at Wembley in
May, budding photographers should visit
www.eongreatsaves.com/exhibition

The exhibition, which forms part of the energy company's Great Saves
campaign - an initiative aimed at rewarding families up and down the country
for making great energy saves in the home, as well as recognising the great
saves made on the pitch by championing the role of keepers - will also
feature images submitted by amateur photographers from across the UK
depicting the life of a goalkeeper.

Stoddart selected the players that have helped define goalkeeping over
the last half century including, Peter Shilton, Gordon Banks, Ray Clemence,
Dave Beasant and Jim Montgomery. The photography features a series of
portraits and images that capture the goalkeepers iconic moments from their
careers including Dave Beasant's FA Cup Final penalty save against Liverpool
and Jim Montgomery's famous double save at Wembley against Leeds in the 1973
FA Cup Final.

World Cup winner Gordon Banks is pictured holding a Brazil shirt to
represent his save from Pele for England during the 1970 World Cup match
against Brazil. Pele later described as being "the greatest save he had ever
seen". Ray Clemence, one of English and European football's most decorated
goalkeepers, carefully holds his three European Cup winners medals which he
won playing for Liverpool in 1977, 1978 and 1981.

The exhibition will be opening on Monday, May 3rd 2010 until the
Saturday, May 15th at the Getty Gallery in London.

Tom Stoddart commented:

"To have had the opportunity for these men to sit for me have been a very
special privilege. A portrait isn't just about a capturing a likeness; it's
about unveiling a personality, a character, a soul. I hope with these photos
I've achieved more than just a representation of these great men.

As someone who grew up during their player's careers, I have a snapshot
in my mind of each man of what Cartier-Bresson would describe as "the
decisive moment". That split second moment that sticks in your mind when they
achieve the unimaginable. These moments, together with the objects they
brought to show me, helped me create these unique portraits."

Gordon Banks commented:

"At times being the goalkeeper can be the loneliest position on the field
and our hard work can often be over shadowed by the goal scorers. That's why
I'm delighted that E.ON are turning the spotlight on the goalkeepers and
celebrating our life between the sticks. Being part of England's World Cup
winning team in 1966 and making that save from Pele in 1970 are moments I'm
very proud of and ones that I'll never forget. Hopefully the exhibition will
raise the profile of the goalkeepers and encourage more children to take up
the position. England needs goalies!"

Simon Breakell, Sponsorship PR Manager at E.ON, said:

"This season we're celebrating Great Saves - great energy saves at home
and great goalkeeping saves on the pitch. All season, we've been rewarding
the guys that turn out week in week out for their team. Life Between the
Sticks is another way that we're celebrating the art of goalkeeping and we
hope that this exhibition will raise awareness of the unsung heroes of our
beautiful game."
