SAVortex has launched the greenest, quietest and fastest hand dryer to commercial washrooms : The Vortex Hand Dryer - spinning air hand dryer using no heating elements, saving energy and drying hands in just 10 seconds.
Founder and CEO, Syed Ahmed, is the driving force behind SAVortex who has worked since the company’s inception in 2006 to encourage British design and develop revolutionary new and sustainable products for the drying industry since he came to the public’s attention after reaching the final five contestants in Series 2 of BBC2’s television series The Apprentice.
Working with CTO Peter Williams, electrical and mechanical engineer specialising in energy efficiency and air flow dynamics, business entrepreneur Syed Ahmed commented, “There are 50 million washrooms worldwide with only 30% using electrical hand dryers. Significant energy and cost savings would be made if washroom’s had just one electrical hand dryer. Most use paper towels, creating unnecessary carbon footprint and wastage. Considerable cost savings by up to 97% can be made by being paperless, often less than one year pay back period, which has to make good business sense.”
The Vortex Hand Dryer has three unique capabilities:
Spinning air technology
Heating air technique without needing commonly used, environmentally unfriendly and uneconomical electrical heating elements that consume huge amounts of energy. Its unique patented spinning air technology creates a ‘curve’ of warm air that naturally feels warmer due to the wrap-around effect.
Regenerative heat recovery
Conserving energy by recovering and reusing heat whilst drying; saving money, reducing impact on the environment and producing lowest heat emissions.
IP54 design classification
The Vortex is the only electrical hand dryer to be granted IP54 classification, meaning it can be mounted directly above a sink avoiding splashing water on the floor. The Vortex can be showered itself, opening up new installation opportunities in the health, hygiene and food processing industries.
Using the principles of thermodynamics to reduce energy consumption, SAVortex uses digital brushless technology, compressing and spinning air to produce heat, delivering up to 5x longer life, only 10 seconds drying time, quietest in its range at up to only 84dB, reducing energy consumption of 900 watts and lowering maintenance costs.
