BANGKOK, May 11, 2011 - UBM Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Food Science and
Technology Association of Thailand, National Food Institute, the Federation
of Thai Industries and Thai Food Processor's Association, is organising the
7th edition of Food ingredients Asia. To support the development of the food
industry in Thailand and Asia, the company is also launching Food Processing
and Packaging Asia in 2011, to take place on 21 - 23 September 2011 at Queen
Sirikit National Convention Center.

Mr. Manu Leopairote, Chairman of UBM Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd., says,
"Food ingredients Asia 2011 is the major regional event that features food
technology and ingredients. It focuses on displaying ingredients innovation,
research and development of raw material in the processed food industry, such
as creating appealing appearance, taste, scent and colours, as well as
enhancing nutrition to add value for instant food, drink, innovative
processed food and frozen food."

Thailand has a multimillion-worth food industry. In 2011, the food export
industry in the country is expected to grow in more than 8% to a value of
more than $22 billion (approximately 660 billion baht). In manufacturing
processed food, ingredients are the key component. In Food ingredients Asia
2011, the entrepreneurs in the industry will review the latest innovations
and ingredients of over 400 suppliers from more than 30 countries. Exchange
of knowledge and information about the global food industry will contribute
to the development of Thai food industry. The event is expected to create
more than a billion-baht business value.

Food ingredients Asia is outstanding for the display of technology and
innovation for ingredients. The show has grown by 70% since the 2009's
edition in Thailand, and expected to welcome more than 10,000 food
professionals.

Mr. Visit Limprana, President of Food Processing Industry Club, the
Federation of Thai Industries, says Thailand is situated in an ideal location
for producing food to feed the world. "It is a perfect place for agriculture
and livestock. This helpful factor drives Thailand to be a key exporter of
food and raw materials. The standard and quality of these raw materials is
also widely accepted. Food ingredients Asia 2011 will put Thailand in the
spotlight and make the global industry aware of Thailand's capacity to
produce food and raw material."

The first Food Processing and Packaging Asia will ensure that not only
the potential in processed food and raw materials is addressed, but also the
well-established Thai food processing and packaging sector, which meets
international standards and has globally recognised quality.

The Food Science and Technology Association of Thailand (FoSTAT) will
organise "FoSTAT Food Ingredients Asia Conference 2011" held on 21 - 22
September 2011
at QSNCC, Bangkok. Ms. Darunee Edwards, President of FoSTAT,
says: "The industry must work collectively to restore confidence and ensure
that all consumers can buy safe food. Our conference, held alongside the Fi
Asia 2011, will deliver the latest insight on health and functional food
ingredients. Moreover, sessions intended for those wanting to learn more
about the production, retail and processing aspects of the functional food
value chain. The two-day conference will address the health benefits of
different food ingredients and their innovative use in the processed food
industry."

Mr. Petch Chinabutr, president of the National Food Institute, says, "the
role of the institute, which is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Industry, is
to promote and develop the Thai food industry so it can enjoy stable growth
and be competitive on a global scale. The Institute operates under clear
mission in order to create academic value, technology and advanced knowledge
base. "This year, the National Food Institute takes part in organising the
international seminar under the topic: 'AEC2015 the Impact on the ASEAN Food
Industry' on 21 September 2011.

Mr. Manu concludes: "The success of Food ingredients Asia in Thailand two
years ago has resulted in high interest to the technology of food
manufacturing, processing and packaging. To ensure that this event displays
the technology for developing the food industry in an integrated way, Food
Processing and Packaging Asia 2011 (FPPA 2011) is organised alongside Fi Asia
2011. It is Thailand's first all-in-one event for the food industry. Food
professionals are welcome to attend the event on 21 - 23 September 2011 at
