DUBLIN, December 15, 2011 -
Aer Lingus has announced the addition of new routes and increased frequencies to its summer 2012 schedule.
The airline will introduce flights to Verona and Stockholm to the already extensive summer schedule on offer which has holiday options for everyone, whatever the individual’s budget or taste.
Along with these fresh new sun and city break destinations, Aer Lingus is also set to increase frequency on thirteen of its other routes, including Faro, Perpignon and Zurich.
Travellers can visit Verona, the home of Romeo and Juliet, and enjoy its world famous summer opera festival. For those who wish to take in a few days by the water, Verona provides the perfect gateway to the scenic Lake Garda, less than an hour away. Aer Lingus will be flying to the Italian city twice weekly.
Aer Lingus will also offer new flights to Stockholm four times weekly. Describing the stylish Swedish capital as ‘cosy yet cosmopolitan and effortlessly picturesque’, ‘Lonely Planet’ listed the Swedish capital in its top ten cities to visit in 2012. The city boasts world-class museums and art galleries, most of which are accessible by foot for an easy, relaxing holiday.
Director of Communications at Aer Lingus, Declan Kearney said: “In keeping with our commitment to providing customers with excellent choice and great value, we have increased our flying schedule on thirteen routes and are introducing Stockholm and Verona as new routes, with more announcements to follow later this month.
