Recognized for Continuous Achievement in International Trade

CAMBRIDGE, England and SAN FRANCISCO, April 22, 2010 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in
infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that it has been
awarded the highly coveted Queen's Awards for Enterprise, in the
International Trade category. The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the most
prestigious UK business awards, celebrating the country's most successful
organizations. The Awards are made each year by The Queen, on the advice of
the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an Advisory Committee that includes
representatives from Government, industry and commerce, and trade unions.

Autonomy was chosen after a rigorous selection process, designed to
identify and reward businesses that demonstrate substantial growth in
overseas earnings and commercial success, to levels that are outstanding for
the goods or services concerned and for the size of their operations. This
highly-esteemed accolade further solidifies Autonomy's reputation as the UK's
leading software company.

"I am delighted that Autonomy has been awarded the Queen's Awards for
Enterprise: International Trade," said Dr Mike Lynch, Founder and CEO of
Autonomy. "This coveted accolade further validates Autonomy's market-leading
position and unique technological offering. I would like to thank the
Autonomy team for making our achievements at home and abroad possible. We
pride ourselves on our international operations and we are thrilled to see
our success recognized by such a prestigious entity."

Autonomy, Europe's second largest software firm, was founded by Dr Mike
Lynch OBE FREng in 1996 on a vision to dramatically change the way in which
people interact with information and computers, allowing computers to map to
the world of humans rather than the other way round. Autonomy's core
infrastructure software, the Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL), forms
an understanding of all data in the enterprise, including human-friendly
formats such as Web pages, emails, voice and video. By processing over 1,000
data formats automatically, IDOL enables organizations to unlock the hidden
value of these traditionally untapped data assets.

Autonomy's IDOL technology is used by over 20,000 customers worldwide to
generate real business value, enabling organizations to maximize their data
assets whilst mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with the latest
regulations and avoiding hefty fines. In addition, Autonomy's diverse range
of solutions includes Pan-Enterprise Search, Regulatory and Legal Content
Management, End-to-End eDiscovery, Archiving and Records Management, Web
Solutions, Customer Interaction Solutions, eBusiness, Digital Asset
Management, Business Process Management and Video and Audio Analysis.
