BancTec Solution Selected to Enhance Workflow Management for the 2010 Census

In the United States, Lockheed Martin supported the 2000 Census with the Data Capture System (DCS). Data capture for Census 2000 was the largest, most sophisticated - and most accurate - census undertaken; encompassing 120 million forms with 98 percent accuracy. It represented the first census to use scanned optical character recognition (OCR) technology to process the handwritten forms.
