- The Application
Transformation Framework Provides a Consolidated Management
Dashboard and an Integrated Suite of Software for Controlling the
Process of Moving Applications to SharePoint

Binary Tree, a leading provider of software solutions for
migrating to Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint, announced today the
Application Transformation Framework (ATF) that integrates process
with technology to dramatically improve the success of moving
applications to Microsoft SharePoint.  The Application
Transformation Framework enables project teams to holistically
manage and control the transformation process including the
analysis and migration of standard applications, the
rationalization and transformation of complex applications, and the
consolidation and retirement of the legacy application
platform.

“The market is littered with point solutions that each address a
small part of the challenge of moving applications to SharePoint,”
stated Tim Reiter, Product Manager, Application Transformation
Strategy at Binary Tree.  ”We asked our customers and partners
what they really needed to be successful to transform applications
to SharePoint and SharePoint Online from Lotus Notes and legacy
versions of SharePoint.  The common refrain was for a
centrally controlled and integrated suite of software solutions
that map to each phase of the transformation.  So we designed
and developed the Application Transformation Framework to meet
those demands.”

The Application Transformation Framework provides an integrated
architecture that consists of a consolidated management dashboard
that controls an integrated suite of application analysis,
migration, and consolidation software that in turn all share common
components, rules, services and a SQL repository.  The current
ATF software components support transformations of applications
from Lotus Notes to Microsoft SharePoint and include CMT Inspector,
CMT for SharePoint and Domino Consolidator.  Future ATF
software solution sets will support transformations of applications
from SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online, as well as
SharePoint analysis, upgrades, consolidations, and the management
of hybrid on-premises/online SharePoint environments.

“ATF is a guiding methodology when migrating from Lotus Notes
applications to Microsoft SharePoint,” stated Anthony Tancredi,
Director of Technology Management Consulting, Diamond Technologies,
Inc.  ”This is not just a data migration tool. This is a well
thought out solution framework that provided comfort with regard to
risk mitigation, budget estimation, transition planning of Notes
simple / complex applications and overall transition management.
Having an analysis tool that assists with redevelopment
estimation and preferred target migration decision-making is what
has been missing from other market vendor tools.  Binary Tree
has streamlined the transition process and removed the guesswork.
ATF is our solution choice for all future transition
engagements in regards to application transition to Microsoft.”
