LONDON, September 2, 2010 -
- Guaranteed GBP50 Trade-in on Laptops - New Netbook From Only GBP139 With Trade-in - Available in Over 600 Stores Across the UK - Traded-in Laptops Subject to Free Secure Data Wipe, Saving Additional GBP30
Customers heading to PC World or Currys will be able to get a guaranteed
GBP50 trade-in on any laptop when buying a new laptop, desktop, netbook or
Apple Mac, under a new trade-in scheme being launched by the retailer.
In the most compressive offer of its kind from a UK electrical retailer,
the scheme will entitle anyone trading-in any old laptop to get an extra
GBP50 off any new Laptop, netbook, PC or Mac regardless of the age, as long
as it is working and switches on.
Customers will also be able to enjoy the peace of mind that their device
will be data wiped before being recycled. Usually priced GBP30, but available
for free as part of the trade-in scheme, the data wipe service ensures all
contents left on the laptops will be erased.
In a continued environmentally friendly commitment from the retailer, all
traded-in laptops will also be safely and securely recycled in accordance
with the Governments WEEE initiative, which sees working parts reintroduced
into emerging markets where there is a natural demand for the products.
Jeremy Fennell, Category Director for PC World and Currys, comments:
"This is the best offer of its kind in the market, covering all brands of PCs
and even includes Apple Macs. All customers can benefit from this scheme, but
it is particularly great timing for all the students returning to school and
Uni as they can snap up a real bargain with netbooks starting at only GBP139
with the trade-in offer."
