Currys Unveils Stevenage Megastore

40 new jobs created for local area

LONDON, May 21, 2010 - Currys, the UK's leading electrical retailers, will open the doors to a
brand new store at Stevenage on Thursday 27th May 2010. The store has created
40 new jobs in the local area and offers 90,000 residents the biggest
electrical shopping destination in the area.

The 34,000 square foot new store is set to make shopping for electricals
a much simpler and more enjoyable experience for customers. The new store
will offer the widest ranges and best selection of electricals ensuring a
better shopping experience for customers.

The new megastore showcases thousands of products including a huge range

including brands such as Apple and Archos. There are various styles of
fridges and freezers to suit every need and a massive range of netbooks,
laptops and PCs for sale throughout the store.

Customers can also take advantage of the stores extra special opening
promotion with a 10% off on all products throughout the store during the
weekend of 5th and 6th June.

The new store offers customers a 'hands-on' product experience coupled
with extended product ranges, which is designed to meet all technology needs.
This Store has a huge selection of interactive 'play tables' allowing
customers to pick up, turn on and test out a wide range of products before
they purchase including premium brands such as Apple, Bose, Siemans,
Liebherr, Bosch, Miele and more.

Other services available at the store will include: Next Day Delivery
service, which gives customers the option to choose when they have their
product delivered within a three hour time slot, the award-winning WEEE
recycling scheme and the option to reserve goods online for collection
in-store.

individual needs and technology requirements. As well as improved customer
service and a new in-store experience, Currys remain committed to giving
customers the best priced electrical goods.

The Stevenage Store is part of an ongoing Currys refurbishment program
across the country.

Currys WEEE recycling scheme has been named Retail Week's Customer
Service Initiative 2008. Available free of charge, the service allows
customers who are buying new electrical products to return their old ones to
any of Currys stores across the country, even if the original product was not
bought from Currys.

Currys have now recycled over 1.3 million products including 450,000
fridges and 100,000 TVs.
