SAN FRANCISCO, March 12, 2010 - Pocketwatch Games' stylish co-op caper, Monaco, was the big winner at the Twelfth Annual Independent Games Festival, which was hosted by the Game Developers Conference (GDC) at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. Monaco received the top award at the ceremony, earning the US$20,000 Seumas McNally Grand Prize for Best Independent Game, as well as the award for Excellence in Design.

NAIROBI, Kenya, March 12, 2010 - The New York Times carried a front-page story on March 9 saying that a report is forthcoming from the UN Somalia Sanctions Committee alleging large-scale diversion of the UN World Food Program (WFP) humanitarian aid effort. An advance copy of the report was leaked to the Times by unknown parties perhaps seeking to build external support for the report prior to its official adoption by the UN Security Council. According to the Times, the Sanctions Committee report contains accusations that DEEQA, as a principal food-delivery contractor in the Somalia WFP, participated in the alleged diversion of aid.

DENVER, March 12, 2010 - President Obama announced today that he will donate US$125,000 of his US$1.4 million Nobel Peace Prize monies to the American Indian College Fund (the Fund).
