Derby Cycle AG: 25% Rise in the Pre-order Volume for the 2012 Bike Season

CLOPPENBURG, Germany, September 12, 2011 -

According to current pre-order figures from specialist bicycle retailers, Derby Cycle AG (ISIN DE000A1H6HN1) has exceeded the previous year’s pre-order volume of September 30, 2010 by 25% after completion of all of the year´s key bicycle trade fairs. Usually, Derby Cycle AG publishes the pre-order volume for the coming bike season after completing the financial year on September 30. However, as the Management Board anticipates that the final increase in pre-order volumes on September 30, 2011 will be approximately on par with the current level, the company is already prepared to release its first revenues forecast for the financial year 2011/12. On the back of the positive development, the Management Board is currently anticipating double-digit revenues growth year-on-year for the financial year 2011/12. This development is primarily attributable to the strong demand among specialist retailers for electric bikes and sports bicycles from Derby Cycle brands.
