Does Your Dad Deserve His Own TV Ad? Hallmark Cards Launches Search for Dad Star for Father's Day
By Hallmark Uk, PRNEWednesday, March 17, 2010
World First for Hallmark - the Chance for Your Dad to Star in his own TV ad in Front of Millions!
BRADFORD, England, March 18, 2010 - Hallmark Cards is giving proud children the chance to settle the age-old
playground dispute of who's got the best dad, with the opportunity to make
them the star of their very own personalised TV ad for Father's Day, created
especially for them, and broadcast on national TV to millions!
The competition - a world-first - is being launched today by Hallmark's
personalised online card service, www.hallmark.co.uk/competition, as
part of its build up to Father's Day (
cards.hallmark.co.uk/Cards/Fathers-Day/) on June 20th. It offers sons
and daughters the chance to nominate their dads to star in a personalised TV
ad about their lives - and is set to be the ultimate dad tribute this
Father's Day!
But it's not just open to children, because friends, partners or
relatives across the country can also make a nomination for dad, whether they
want to embarrass them, thank them for being there, or simply show how much
they care. And good news for fathers with dreams of being famous, because
dads can also nominate themselves!
The competition is easy, all people have to do is tell Hallmark a few
things about their dads, such as funny stories or anecdotes, upload a couple
of photos through its website, and cross their fingers! The lucky dad will
find they've won in April with the TV ad being made in time for Father's Day,
and set to be broadcast to millions.
Jon Taylor, from Hallmark Cards online, commented: "Father's Day is a
great time of the year to show your dad just how much he means to you. This
year we have taken it one step further and are asking everyone out there to
tell us just how fantastic their dads are by paying them the ultimate tribute
and giving them the chance to star in their own ad for Father's Day.
"The ad will be broadcast on national TV to millions of people so if you
think that your dad deserves his 15 minutes in the spotlight then get
nominating now.
"Hallmark's online card service lets people personalise their cards so
they look just the way they want, with everything from adding your own photo
through, changing colour of text to changing or adding a personal verse. We
thought it would be great to take this personalisation a few steps further
and launch the very ultimate in personal gifts - an ad made for one person,
shown on primetime TV! It's really simple to enter and will only take a few
minutes. And who knows, in three month's time maybe your dad will be famous!"
The best entries collected before 5th April - whether they are funny,
soppy or just affectionate - will be judged by Hallmark's editorial team and
then the winner will be revealed.
