SAN JOSE, California -

eOn Communications Corporation(TM) (Nasdaq: EONC), a leading provider of telecommunications solutions, announces today the debut of its new server-based IP communications platform called the eConn IP-PBX at the VoiceCon(R) San Francisco show being held at the Moscone North Convention Center from November 2-5, 2009.

“We are very excited about the launch of the eConn IP-PBX and we are pleased to participate in this year’s fall VoiceCon to showcase its next-generation capabilities,” said Bob Schnabl, eOn’s COO.

The eConn IP-PBX is built on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and the Linux OS utilizing industry standard SIP VoIP and TDM technologies. eConn’s broad range of telephony applications and features are based on those currently provided by eOn’s award winning Millennium(R) Converged Communications Platform.

The eConn solution has been designed to serve enterprises with as few as 10 employees to as many as 1000 employees, which may be located in single or disparate geographical locations. Desktop appliances include eOn’s eNterprise 7000 Series IP Telephones, audio conferencing units, analog sets and 3rd party SIP-compliant devices, comprised of softphones, desktop phones, Wi-Fi and IP DECT wireless handsets. When combined with eOn’s eConn IP Messenger platform, the eConn IP-PBX also supports a powerful suite of Unified Communications and Unified Messaging applications. This combination provides live communications and messaging from any device or location, resulting in more efficient customer communications; and yielding cost savings and productivity gains for the business.

Other advanced standard features include an on-board graphical programming interface application for system administration, flexible ACD routing for up to 576 local and remote agents, and multi-site networking utilizing either TDM or IP-QSIG protocols. Industry standard CTI applications are also supported for extensive third-party applications through the eConn’s native CSTA interface.

“We are very enthusiastic with the early market responses we have received from our customers with respect to the design and implementation philosophies utilized in the eConn development process,” said Jack Dienno, eOn’s Vice President of Sales. “Furthermore, eOn believes that the differentiator between eConn and other open source products will be the strength and stability of the inherent telephony feature set ported from our existing TDM platforms.”
