Europcar Launches New freeDeliver Service
By Europcar, PRNESunday, June 5, 2011
TEDDINGTON, England, June 6, 2011 -
Europcar, the leader in car hire services in Europe for both leisure and
business users, just made car hire easier, with the launch of its new
freeDeliver service. Now customers hiring a car for two days or more can sit
back and Europcar will deliver it to their door as well as collect it when
their trip is finished - at no extra charge. The new, unique, service
reflects Europcar's sustained commitment to bring travellers added value on
every booking.
freeDeliver offers Europcar customers the convenience of free car hire
delivery (www.europcar.co.uk/freedeliver) and collection to their home
address, within a 15 mile radius of the nearest Europcar location. No other
car hire company offers such a service and Ken McCall, managing director,
Europcar UK, believes it's what customers want, so that they don't have to
use valuable time getting to and from car hire locations at the beginning and
end of their journey.
"We are aiming to challenge the status quo of the car hire market with
freeDeliver," said Ken McCall. "As the market leaders, I think we need to set
the benchmark for a new customer-focused car hire (www.europcar.co.uk/
) service for leisure travellers and freeDeliver is just one of the
initiatives we are developing to achieve this. It's a crucial step in putting
the trust back into the relationship between car hire companies and leisure
travellers.
"freeDeliver gives back time to our customers - and gives them a service
with no strings attached. Business travellers already know how convenient it
is to have the car delivered to their door and collected at the end of the
reservation. Now we are giving that same convenience to leisure travellers."
freeDeliver (www.europcar.co.uk/freedeliver) offers Europcar
leisure customers the convenience of free delivery and collection at their
home. Valid for all bookings for two days or more, it's completely free of
charge within 15 miles of any of Europcar's 200 locations. Customers can have
their car delivered to any address within an agreed one hour window, so
there's no waiting around and Europcar collects it at the end of the booking
which means no hassle and no charge.
"There's no question that time is the most powerful commodity we all have
- yet none of us have enough of it," concluded Ken McCall. "We wanted to
create a way to give back time to our customers - without it costing them any
more. No other hire company offers such a service, but we hope it will set
the benchmark and others will follow suit because car hire needs to be as
convenient as possible."
