OSLO, Norway, May 25, 2011 -
ForgeRock, the open source identity-oriented middleware company, has been
named a "Cool Vendor" in a new report from Gartner Inc. The April 21,
2011 report by Ray Wagner, John Girard, Gregg Kreizman, Ant Allan, Earl
Perkins and Perry Carpenter is entitled "Cool Vendors in Identity and Access
Management, 2011" and recommends that chief information security officers and
other security professionals should familiarize themselves with the vendors
and with the potential business benefits they offer. Vendors selected for the
"Cool Vendor" report are innovative, impactful and intriguing, according to
Gartner.
ForgeRock offers subscriptions enabling deployment of the open source and
standards-compliant software from the I3 Open Platform with excellent and
timely support, ongoing innovation and the flexibility and freedoms that only
open source can deliver. I3 - a vision for a comprehensive identity,
integration and interaction platform - currently embraces highly scalable
enterprise identity oriented middleware in independently usable yet
"integrate-able" components:
- OpenAM provides authentication, authorization, federation and single
sign-on services;
- OpenDJ provides a robust, capable LDAP server which is nonetheless
embeddable and platform independent;
- OpenIDM provides a rapidly evolving identity provisioning solution;
- the OpenPortal programme delivers software and know-how for using
these systems with a range of content management systems and portals.
"ForgeRock is honoured to have been recognised by Gartner," said Lasse
Andresen, CEO at ForgeRock. "This recognition crowns a remarkable year where
ForgeRock has seen over 35 companies purchasing subscriptions."
