Further Success for HSBC Merchant Services at The Banker Magazine's Innovation In Banking Technology Awards 2010

LONDON, June 18, 2010 - HSBC Merchant Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Global Payments Inc.
(NYSE: GPN), received further 'best in class' recognition and collected
another award for their Continuous Portfolio Profiling Analysis project at
The Banker magazine's prestigious Innovation In Banking Technology Awards
2010.

The prize, awarded in the 'Innovation in Customer Service and Marketing
Technology' category, is the second award that the company has received for
their work in minimising chargebacks to their customers.

The project utilises decision making software and straight through
processing to minimise the time, cost and inconvenience of managing
chargebacks. This combination of technology and expert support results in
reduced costs, including the same-day defence of chargebacks, with both HSBC
Merchant Services and their merchants sharing the cost benefits.
