Global Strategies Group Files Registration for a Proposed Initial Public Offering of its US Defense Technology Business

MCLEAN, Virginia -

Global Strategies Group, a leading provider of integrated security and defense technology, today announced that its US defense technology business, Global Defense Technology & Systems, Inc. (”GLOBAL Defense Technology”), has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed initial public offering of its common stock. GLOBAL Defense Technology is the newly renamed holding company of Global Strategies Group (North America) Inc. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined. The shares of common stock to be sold in this offering are proposed to be sold by GLOBAL Defense Technology and certain stockholders. GLOBAL Defense Technology intends to apply to have its common stock listed on The Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker symbol “GTEC.”

Cowen and Company will act as sole book-running manager of the proposed offering. Copies of the preliminary prospectus for this offering may be obtained, when available, from Cowen and Company, 1211 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020.
