GoldenSource to Discuss how New Regulations Bring Data Management to the Board at this Year's FIMA
By Goldensource, PRNEMonday, November 15, 2010
LONDON, November 16, 2010 - GoldenSource Corporation (bit.ly/dhYIHs), a leading provider of
Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions (bit.ly/9ygs9I), will be
addressing the impact of regulation on data management at FIMA 2010 (
bit.ly/aQq4Ct), taking place on 16th - 18th November at Hotel
Russell in London. The talk, taking place at 17.00 on day one of the event,
will review key upcoming regulations such as Basel III and Solvency II and
how financial institutions need to review their data management practices
in order to meet capital adequacy and other requirements.
During his 'Beyond best intentions - how regulation is
transforming the argument for pervasive data management' talk, Gert Raeves,
SVP Partnerships and Marketing, will discuss how recent regulatory reforms
such as Basel III bring the topic of data management out of the back office
and into the boardroom. New regulations call for greater capital adequacy to
make sure financial institutions have sufficient capital to cover their
obligations and mitigate systemic risk. As demand grows for integrated and
near real-time views on positions, risk managers must look at the foundation
of their risk governance to ensure their data establishes an accurate view of
the firm's risk exposure.
GoldenSource recently launched RiskHub (bit.ly/d7zfLe), a suite
of products aimed at risk professionals, to help increase transparency
within data management and improve risk governance from the ground up.
It allows event-driven synchronisation of information between systems for
reporting and corporate governance requirements, managing inputs for risk
calculations, and evaluation of risk exposure.
FIMA gathers over 250 senior-level reference and market data
management executives to debate, discuss and share strategies on all aspects
of collecting, managing, storing, standardising and distributing data in a
financial institution. Gert is available for interviews at or around the
event. For more information please visit the FIMA 2010 website
