DUBAI, November 11, 2011 -
-Despite already taking the World Championship, Vettel says the Red Bull Racing team are still determined to take the Grand Prix at Abu Dhabi-
Infiniti’s Global Brand Ambassador and co-creator of the Infiniti FX Vettel Version, Sebastian Vettel says he is looking forward to the upcoming Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Vettel’s return will mark the first time he has raced there since winning the World Drivers’ Championship on the track in 2010; a race he has fond memories of.
Vettel commented: “I’m looking forward to going back to Abu Dhabi for lots of reasons. This is where I won the World Championship last year so, obviously, as soon as I walk into Yas Marina Circuit, it will bring positive emotions and memories.”
Vettel continued: “The best way to describe the memory of Abu Dhabi is to say that Yas Marina Circuit is similar in a way to Monza, where I won my first Grand Prix. These are very different race tracks but they provide incredible moments I’ll never forget.”
Infiniti Middle East, sponsors of Red Bull Racing, says it’s this love of the sport and the road that makes Vettel the perfect ambassador for the Infiniti brand. Infiniti Middle East’s line-up includes the Infiniti Premium Luxury G Sedan, G Coupe and G Convertible, the EX35 Luxury Crossover, the FX35/50 Performance Crossover, the M37/56 Mid-size Premium Luxury Sedan and the Infiniti QX-56 Full-size Luxury SUV. Infiniti creates cars that have significance beyond their physical form and the line-up embodies the performance, power and determination that Vettel, and Infiniti luxury car owners, possess.
Vettel is not going to let his nostalgia affect his performance and remains resolute in his drive to continue to pick up as many wins as possible this season along with Red Bull Racing teammate Mark Webber. Infiniti Middle East say this spirit of determination will ensure he wins at Abu Dhabi.
Vettel continued: “The championship has been much less intense from my point of view in the last part of the season, and this is not the last race. Saying that, this is another Grand Prix and we want to win it just as much as any other. That’s what Red Bull Racing is all about.”
Vettel concluded: “But the one thing you can be sure of is the events of 2010 will mean nothing when the red lights go out for the start of this year’s race. My aim will be to make it three wins in a row at Yas Marina.”
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will run from the 11th to the 13th of November.
