IR Society Best Practice Awards - Shortlist

LONDON - The Investor Relations Society today announces the companies short listed for its Best Practice Awards. These awards recognise those companies that lead the way in the practice of investor communication.
The short listed companies for each award are, in alphabetical order:
1. Best communication of strategy, performance and KPIs in the annual report - Capita Group - Centrica - Morrisons 2. Best communication of governance and risk in the annual report - Capita Group - Ferrexpo - Marks and Spencer - SEGRO 3. Best communication of corporate responsibility in the annual report - Aviva - BASF - Rolls Royce 4. Most improved annual report - Dragon Oil - Powerflute - Xstrata 5. Best-practice corporate website 2009 FTSE 100 - Anglo American - Imperial Tobacco - RSA Insurance Group FTSE 250 - Cookson - Go-Ahead Group - Provident Financial Small Cap & AIM - Advent Capital - Holidaybreak - Laird International - Aegon - BASF - Swedish Match 6. Award for the most effective overall Annual Report (printed and online) FTSE 100 - 3i Group - Centrica - Marks and Spencer - Tullow Oil FTSE 250 - Great Portland Estates - Premier Farnell - Provident Financial Small Cap and AIM - Lancashire Holdings - May Gurney - Next Fifteen Communications International - BASF - Daimler - Hannover Re
The winners of the awards will be announced at the Society’s Annual Awards Dinner which will be held on 26 November 2009 at the Royal Hospital Gardens Chelsea.
