Having spent more than 35 years at IBM Japan, including eight years as its chief financial officer, Mr. Nakauchi brings extensive experience in business development, operations management and financial planning. As a core member of the management team at IBM Japan, Mr. Nakauchi made significant contributions to IBM’s Japan franchise and long-term success. During August 2008, Mr. Nakauchi was appointed to the corporate advisory board of iSoftStone, to help facilitate the continued growth of iSoftStone’s business in Japan. As Chairman, Mr. Nakauchi will play an increasingly important role in growing market share in Japan and Korea.
iSoftStone Chairman & CEO TW Liu commented, “the Japan and Korean markets are highly strategic for iSoftStone, and our clients there are critical to the long-term success of our globalization strategy. Mr. Nakauchi is a tremendous addition to our global leadership team and we welcome his increased involvement. We believe that his extensive management experience will help iSoftStone continue to improve our presence in Japan and Korea, and further increase our long-term growth potential there.”
“In spite of the economic uncertainty currently facing both Japan and Korea at present, our client base is comprised of tier-1 global companies who take a long-term strategic view toward the benefits of outsourcing to China.” said Juro Nakauchi. “What’s more, the majority of them have their own domestic China strategies, which we are able to help them with, thereby further improving their overall business prospects and making the relationships truly ‘win-win’ for both the clients and iSoftStone. I am confident that with our globalization focus on strong China-based delivery capabilities, our Japan & Korea clients can continue to realize true business and financial value from their partnerships with iSoftStone.”
In addition to his work with IBM, Mr. Nakauchi has served as a special advisor to Silver Lake, a global private equity firm focusing on technology investments since 2006. He has also served as an independent board member of two publicly traded companies in Japan.
