RUNCORN, England, June 14, 2010 - JLT Mobile Computers AB, a leading manufacturer and developer of rugged
computer solutions for the toughest environments, is shipping new versions of
its JLT8404 tablet PC and 1214 in-vehicle / fixed-mount computer. The Swedish
designed and built computers feature a new ultra-low voltage Intel Atom
processor running at 1.6GHz and Windows 7, bringing much higher performance
and enhanced 3D graphic capabilities for JLT computer users. Both types of
computer are available today for immediate delivery in standard
configuration.

The JLT8404 is perfect for demanding mobile applications needing a rugged
military standard (MIL STD 810F) handheld tablet PC, such as engineering,
surveying and monitoring. For demanding in-vehicle, plant and production line
environments, the IP65-rated JLT1214 provides the ideal solution. Both
computers are tested to the extreme - water and dust ingress to IP65, shock
30 g for 11 ms, vibration tests at 5-500 Hz/4.5 g RMS 3 hours XYZ, and
extreme temperatures.

Both are standard setting rugged mobile computers with aircraft-grade
aluminium chassis and feature 2 gigabyte of RAM, enough to run demanding
applications comfortably without worrying about running out of memory. The
computers are available with a choice of Microsoft operating systems (OS) -
Windows 7, Windows XP or Embedded - giving users the option to choose their
favourite OS and run existing software applications.

The JLT8404 is equipped with a built-in high-performance Sierra Wireless
wide area network (WAN) module. This high-speed wireless technology is easy
to use and provides simple connectivity to wireless networks and exceeds
industry specifications for temperature tolerance, drops, shocks and
vibration. The tablet PC include a sunlight-viewable 8.4-inch colour SunView
touch screen, Bluetooth and 3G/GPRS connectivity, and much improved, highly
accurate GPS performance for field mapping and in-cab use.

The fixed-mount JLT1214 offers outstanding performance and energy
efficiency in all environments, even in temperatures as low as -30C. The
touch screen PC is ready to go right out of the box with all the features
needed for demanding forklift trucks, cranes, industrial vehicles, production
lines and plant applications. The computer provides built-in wireless
connectivity (WLAN, high-speed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth), an uninterruptible power
supply and power stabilisation for voltages ranging from 9 to 72V DC. The
computer connects to any Windows-supported hardware using a range of
interfaces - Bluetooth, USB and RJ45 10/100-TP Ethernet.
