News Facts

Gartner, Inc. has positioned Oracle in the Leaders Quadrant in its 2011 report “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance Platforms (www.gartner.com/technology/media-products/reprints/oracle/article211/article211.html) .” (1)

Gartner Magic Quadrants position vendors within a particular market segment based on their completeness of vision and their ability to execute on that vision.
According to Gartner, “The EGRC platform market is consolidating, and the vendors in this market have had time to develop their products and strategies. Customers are looking for Leaders to provide additional functionality, such as support for chief risk officers, integration with advanced BI and corporate performance management applications, business process modeling, more-flexible and ad hoc reporting, planning and resource management for internal audit, and content and specialized capabilities for risk management and compliance beyond the core functions, such as CCM. They also expect support across multiple geographies. The large vendors should be best positioned for these requirements, yet smaller vendors are in the Leaders quadrant because of continued viability, more-advanced functionality and market understanding.”
In the report, Gartner says enterprise governance, risk and compliance (EGRC) platforms “must solve the immediate GRC management (GRCM) needs associated with corporate governance, and also enable an enterprise to pursue future consolidation and integration of a diverse set of GRC activities.”
