LONDON, December 2 - The Future Foundation, the leading consumer insight and strategic futures
company, announces a successful management buy-out effective December 1st
2009, acquiring the Future Foundation and its subsidiaries from Experian plc.
Co-founder of the Future Foundation Melanie Howard has rejoined the business
as Executive Chair. Christophe Jouan is appointed Chief Executive and Meabh
Quoirin becomes Managing Director. Jouan comments: "The acquisition is highly
opportune - Future Foundation is well placed to advise clients how best to
respond and capitalise on emerging consumer trends as we move on from the
recession, particularly with plans to roll out our global trends service.
This will equip our clients with an even more comprehensive perspective and
means of anticipating international consumer developments."
The Board is also joined by Colin Lloyd, former President and CEO of the
Direct Marketing Association as an active shareholder and non-executive
director. Colin Lloyd adds " As one of Future Foundation's first ever
clients, I have had first-hand experience of the value of their analysis and
trends and was delighted to have the chance to participate in the management
buy-out and help the business grow".
