Men With IPhones Are More Attractive to Women

LONDON, April 21, 2010 - According to a recent survey conducted by Phones 4u
(www.phones4u.co.uk/), men with iPhones are luckiest in love.

The survey of 1500 women suggests that men who own the Apple iPhone
handset are said to be more attractive than those who do not.

Good news for those men out there who are fixated on the latest gadgets
in lieu of a love life; 54% of women stated that they would be more likely to
date a man if he owns an iPhone. One respondent suggested "if he has an
iPhone then he's obviously intelligent and well-off."

Other factors for gadget geeks being looked upon more favourably in the
dating stakes include better grooming, a good sense of humour and ease of
communication. 37% of those quizzed say that owning an iPhone makes a man
seem more reliable, to which nearly all went on to say that a second date
would be likely.

"There's just something about a man who's good with computers that makes
him more trustworthy," said Lucy, a 23-year-old primary school teacher from
London. "If he's got the cash for an iPhone then he must be very good at his
job, too."

Indeed, job status scores highly on the criteria of those surveyed. 35%
of women said that what a man does for a living would affect their chances of
a first date, whilst only a meagre 7% don't mind how their prospective mate
puts food on his table.

Current UK sales of the iPhone are estimated at around the two million
mark; with 75% of the market attributed to males between the ages of 18 and
40. During 2009 downloads of dating applications for smart phones in the UK
soared past 250,000.

In another recent study, however, it was discovered that men who own the
iPhone tend to have GBP3,750 less disposable income per annum than those who
do not own an iPhone; proof that first impressions may not always be accurate
in the dating game.
