Northrop Grumman Highlights Global Security Capabilities at Latin America Aerospace and Defence 2011 in Brazil

LONDON, April 8, 2011 - Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) will display an array of its
defence and security capabilities including marine navigation,
communications, command and control, and unmanned aerial systems at the Latin
America Aerospace and Defence (LAAD) 2011 exhibition in Rio de Janeiro.
LAAD is one of the leading trade shows for the defence and security
industry in Latin America and specialises in capabilities and technologies
for armed forces, police, special forces and security services. The
exhibition is at Riocentro, Rio de Janeiro 12-15 April. The Northrop Grumman
exhibit is at location B-40, Hall 4 and N-56b in Hall 3.

the design, development and production of navigation and control systems,
radar systems and airborne surveillance is well matched to meeting the
region's growing defence and security requirements."
Northrop Grumman's Sperry Marine business unit will be displaying a range
of its latest generation marine navigation, ship control and coastal
surveillance radar solutions including the VisionMaster FT Integrated Bridge
and Platform Management System. The VisionMaster FT Total Watch
multi-function workstation will be on display including the warship
electronic chart display and information system (ECDIS). VisionMaster FT
provides a highly integrated fully networked suite of marine radar and
electronic charting systems designed to form the backbone of the modern
ship's integrated bridge.
Other capabilities which will be highlighted are the maritime domain
awareness coastal surveillance system, the SeaGuard XBCR x-band coherent
radar for small target detection and situational awareness, and the LFK-100
fibre optic gyrocompass, a solid-state, fully electronic, digital gyrocompass
system for integrated bridges.
The company's industry-leading Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA)
programme will be featured with a full-scale model of Northrop Grumman's
AN/APG-68(V)9 mechanically scanned array radar for the F-16 multi-role
fighter aircraft.
Northrop Grumman's airborne surveillance capability will be highlighted
with a model of the combat-proven RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned aircraft. Most
recently, Global Hawk has been providing vital aerial surveillance in support
of the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan, further demonstrating
its ability to provide vital support to national security and humanitarian
relief operations. Additionally, Global Hawk is supporting operations in
Afghanistan and Libya, where it is performing more sorties at a faster rate
and covering a wider than earlier test and evaluation results predicted.
The company's air traffic management ground to-air communications systems
will be exhibited including the capabilities of the VOIP-enabled PAE T6 and
PAE M7 VHF/UHF multimode digital radios. Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems,
based in the U.K., is an industry leader in air traffic management solutions
for airports around the world and has been particularly successful in Brazil.
Over the last 10 years, the company has been contracted by the Brazilian air
traffic control authorities to install its radio systems at nearly 100 sites
across the country.
Northrop Grumman's U.K. capabilities in civil defence and security
solutions will be highlighted in its exhibit in the U.K. pavilion at Stand
N-56b in Hall 3. Featured will be the company's tactical command and control
systems, Integrated Tactical Command and Control Services (I-TaCCS) and
Integrated Joint Operational Command and Control Services (I-JOCCS). The core
software component of I-TaCCS is used around the world and is in service in
more than 40 countries with 100,000 users.
