News Facts

Oracle is positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in each of three new Gartner Magic Quadrants focused on application infrastructure. The Magic Quadrants include: Application Infrastructure for Systematic Application Integration Projects (1); Application Infrastructure for Systematic SOA-Style Application Projects (2); and Shared SOA Interoperability Infrastructure Projects (3).

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant reports position vendors within a particular quadrant based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute.
A component of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (www.oracle.com/middleware) , Oracle SOA Suite 11g (www.oracle.com/us/technologies/soa/index.htm?origref=www.oracle.com/us/products/middleware/index.html) delivers a complete, integrated and hot-pluggable SOA platform that enables next-generation business applications by simplifying service access, integration, orchestration, Complex Event Processing (CEP), monitoring and management.

Leaders Quadrant in “Magic Quadrant for Application Infrastructure for Systematic Application Integration Projects”

Oracle SOA Suite 11g includes industry leading features and functionality enabling enterprises to meet the most demanding application integration requirements.
Gartner states in the Magic Quadrant for Application Infrastructure for Systematic Application Integration Projects that “virtually every software project that deploys a new application involves application integration tasks.”
According to Gartner, “Leaders are vendors with a proven and comprehensive integrated product set, as well as a sizable installed base of reasonably satisfied clients that extends internationally. Leaders have an ample installed base of products to cross-sell their integration solutions to, and have demonstrated their ability to anticipate technology and market trends over the years by extending their offerings to support the data consistency, multistep process and composite application integration styles that occur in systematic A2A and B2B integration projects. Leaders manifest their understanding of the problem space by providing innovative features, and by extending their integration technology in a manner that supports near-neighbor initiatives like SOA and BPM.”

Leaders Quadrant in “Magic Quadrant for Application Infrastructure for Systematic SOA-Style Application Projects”

Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g is a comprehensive, integrated and feature-rich array of products that provides unique and powerful functionality for enterprises to build, run, and manage systematic SOA-style applications.
Gartner states that the Magic Quadrant for Application Infrastructure for Systematic SOA-Style Application Projects examines “a market where buyers (IT projects) are looking for application infrastructure technology to fulfill the end-to-end requirements of a systematic, SOA-style application project.”
According to Gartner, “Leaders combine insightful understanding of the realities of the market, a reliable record, the ability to influence the market's direction, the capability to attract and keep a following, and the capacity to lead. A Leader has the proven ability to deliver on its vision and to support its customers through periods of stability, as well as periods of change. Leaders control most of the market’s business activity, and are the primary influencers of market evolution.”

Leaders Quadrant in “Magic Quadrant for Shared SOA Interoperability Infrastructure Projects”

Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g is a modern application infrastructure that supports business-critical initiatives such as simplified development, SOA, cloud computing, business process transformation, Service-Oriented Security, enhanced collaboration and IT governance.
Gartner states in the Magic Quadrant for Shared SOA Interoperability Infrastructure Projects that “the deployment of comprehensive interoperability and governance capabilities, shared across multiple applications and processes, is key to successful SOA initiatives.”
According to Gartner, “Leaders in this market are vendors able to provide mature ESB capabilities, a range of proven orchestration options and a comprehensive set of SOA governance technologies. These vendors’ products have been widely adopted across verticals and geographies, as individual items and in combination, to support large and business-critical SOA backplane and governance deployment projects. The installed base of these vendors is on the order of hundreds of users, which have adopted the full spectrum of their SOA backplane and governance technologies and in the thousands (at least 2,000 to 3,000) for the more-popular individual components (typically, the ESB products).”
