TORONTO, November 28, 2011 -
- An interoperable eDiagnosis solution, with specific applicability to workflow orchestration and remote diagnosis in radiology, cardiology, pathology, dermatology and ophthalmology
RealTime Medical (www.realtimemedical.com), a global leader in diagnostic imaging eDiagnosis, collaboration software and service solutions, will feature its latest advancements in cross-platform, automated shared workflow at the upcoming RSNA 2011 conference, which will be held from November 27 to December 2, 2011 at McCormick Place in Chicago. RealTime Medical will showcase its industry-leading software solutions, with applicability to workflow orchestration and remote diagnosis applications (e.g. teleradiology, telecardiology, telepathology, teledermatology and teleophthalmology networks), in South Building - Hall A: Booth #2657.
In collaboration with Accenture (www.accenture.com), RealTime Medical has deployed DiaShare[TM], its cross-platform, automated shared workflow, dynamic workflow assignment and workload balancing software platform in Spain and the UK, with similar projects also underway in the US. The Madrid, Spain implementation spanned eight hospitals and 2 different PACS solutions. The entire deployment was carried out remotely by the RealTime Medical team, and was completed within 2.5 months, including translation of DiaShare[TM]into Spanish.
RealTime Medical’s DiaShare[TM]
automates cross-platform shared workflow collaboration and dynamic workflow assignment and workload balancing within standards-based systems, across any number of PACS, RIS/HIS or equivalent infrastructures in radiology, cardiology, pathology, dermatology, and ophthalmology. DiaShare[TM] dynamically balances and optimizes system-wide image acquisition, exam assignment, workload balancing and distribution. With live coverage and schedule management between exam producers and diagnostic specialists, peer-to-peer and cross-institutional collaboration, reporting and results management and billing, DiaShare[TM]
is one of the first, functionally complete, end-to-end eDiagnosis solution platforms.
An additional software supplement to the DiaShare[TM]
platform, RealTime Medical’s QAIC solution enables advanced, automated quality assurance, improvement and cross-platform/cross-region collaboration workflows, such as over-reads, resident reads, pre-dictation ‘ask a colleague’ and anonymized peer review and feedback, including second/third and fourth reviews. For example, QAIC enables anonymous post-distribution peer review and feedback amongst colleagues who use different native systems, as well as the pro-active, pre-distribution review of the accuracy of diagnostic results before they are reported.
DiaShare[TM] and its QAIC supplement empower diagnostic specialists and healthcare organizations to better manage diagnostic quality: it dramatically enhances the ability to actively manage and improve service levels and response times at an institutional, regional, state or provincial level, while equalizing service, and improving access to care and sub-specialties. Collectively, these changes generate system-wide, direct and ripple-effect efficiency gains and cost savings, and yield faster, higher quality triaging, better informed clinical resource utilization, optimization of multi-site clinical pathways, improved evidence-based diagnosis, avoidance of diagnostic cascades, and improved patient care.
RealTime Medical’s software solutions are especially applicable to multi-site, cross-platform, diagnostic imaging networks in radiology, cardiology, pathology, dermatology, and ophthalmology, with direct applicability to large-scale teleradiology, telecardiology, telepathology, teledermatology and teleophthalmology initiatives. With over three years of round-the-clock clinical use, DiaShare[TM] and QAIC were specifically designed to automate and optimize the largest, pan-Canadian remote diagnosis network,in cooperation with over 60+ radiologists and cardiologists, who work closely with their on-site colleagues.
