Classification and Extraction Capabilities Added to Document Management and Scanning Solutions

ASHBURN, Virginia, March 16, 2010 - Brainware, Inc., the leading provider of intelligent data capture and
enterprise search solutions, announced that it has entered into a multi-year
OEM agreement with Scan Optics Limited, a global manufacturer of high-speed,
high-volume document management and scanning solutions. As part of the
agreement, Scan-Optics is embedding the Brainware Distiller data capture
solution into its offerings.

Scan-Optics provides solutions for some of the world's largest business
process outsourcers (BPOs) and scanning bureaus, with millions of pages
managed on a daily basis. Brainware Distiller's content-based classification
technology will allow Scan Optics to accurately sort documents without
templates, keywords, zones, barcodes or other forms-based techniques. Once
classified, Brainware Distiller extracts relevant indexing information as
well as any specific fields of data and line-item detail that are required to
process the document. From there, the solution can validate business
information before posting the document in content management or enterprise
resource planning (ERP) systems. The end-to-end offering can serve as a scan
and capture platform for the processing of invoices, remittance statements,
orders or other transactional documents.

"With its powerful classification, auto-indexing and extraction
capabilities, the Brainware Distiller solution enhances our Digital Mailroom
offerings," said Peter Moralee, Managing Director of Scan-Optics Limited.
"What sets the technology apart from the others that we have evaluated is the
validation and ability to extract line-item details. This allows us to expand
beyond the mailroom into business operations such as ones in accounts
payable, accounts receivable and order processing."

"In order to meet our aggressive sales goals, we recognized the need to
work with the leading solution providers in other channels," said Colin Kaye,
Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Brainware. "Scan-Optics
accessed all the capture solutions available to them and immediately
recognized how Brainware Distiller allows the organization to provide a
higher level of service to its customers and generates more value for its end
users."

Scan-Optics Limited, established in the United Kingdom in 1973, is a
wholly owned subsidiary of North American-based Scan Optics LLC.
