The Legendary Norman Lomax, Selling Chariots & Google

LONDON, September 26, 2011 -
Google only shows one or two videos in any search result. That means the innovative business that is using high quality video within their online presence can score well above the competition and claim a higher percentage of traffic. That’s critical. So is getting the message across in a succinct and instantly understandable format.
Video thumb prints, displaying the company brand, in the first three organic results on page 1 is a great start. Then, punching your message in through a clever video straight away afterwards will mean game set and match on the enquiry before the opposition has rewritten its endlessly boring pages of text. The phone call has been made, the email sent or the goods purchased all because the client loves to play a video. Video on page 1 gets to the nub of the issue quickly. The faster it’s possible to do stuff the more impatient we become. It’s instant gratification time online.
The web is getting mighty crowded. Whatever your business there will be plenty out there doing something very similar. But nothing is any different from how it ever was. Selling chariots in Ancient Rome was no different. ”Maximus’ chariots are quicker and stronger with more colour options” but their showroom is at the back end of the Appian Way and nobody goes there, so nobody knows who they are or how good their products are.
Appian Way, Google Search Engine or shop in a back street, the age old marketing dilemma…. so bring the shop onto the main street, move the chariot showroom to the forum and now you can create a great video to get into the number 1 , 2 or 3rd slot on Page One.
All of which brings us to the legendary Norman Lomax.. A staff photographer with The Independent and later The Observer, he has worked for most of Europe’s top magazines including Vogue and won many awards, including Sports Photographer of the Year and a World Press Prize. Now he has joined forces with Zeta to originate and film great videos, some for business, some for the arts, some for fun and let’s not forget all the events surrounding the Sailing Olympics.
So please be aware Norman Lomax’s legendary creative vision is fired up and ready to inspire the Zeta team, 99moves and our many and varied clients.
