Triple A Ratings BNG

THE HAGUE, December 8, 2011 -
Following Fitch and Moody’s reconfirmation of the Triple A rating of BNG, Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has maintained the bank’s rating at AAA. S&P placed the sovereign rating of State of the Netherlands on “CreditWatch Negative”. S&P also placed BNG’s AAA rating on “CreditWatch Negative”. BNG’s rating cannot be higher than the sovereign rating of State of the Netherlands. BNG’s short term rating has been reconfirmed at A1+ (S&P’s highest rating).
S&P underlines BNG’s importance as the bank of and for local authorities and public sector institutions. BNG is named on the list of ‘World’s 50 Safest Banks’ 2011 of Global Finance as the safest bank in the Netherlands. On a worldwide level, BNG holds the third place on this list this year, just as the years before.
