Unicorn Presents: The London Eye Mystery
By Unicorn Theatre, PRNEMonday, February 1, 2010
6 March - 18 April
LONDON, February 2 -
    Adapted by Carl Miller
    Directed by Rosamunde Hutt
Performed by the Unicorn Ensemble with guest actor Rupert Wickham
The London Eye Mystery is a detective story with a difference. The
difference is Ted, who has Asperger's syndrome. Or, as he puts it, a
"different operating system" to most other people.
Ted and his sister Kat watch their cousin Salim board the London Eye and
naturally assume they will see him again 30 minutes later. But as his pod
completes its journey and everyone troops off, there is no sign of him.
The family are devastated; the police investigation has stalled: it seems
Ted is the only person who can solve the mystery of his cousin's
disappearance. Together, he and Kat follow a trail of clues across London in
a desperate bid to find Salim.
The Unicorn production marks the first time that Siobhan Dowd's multi
award-winning novel and its unorthodox hero have been brought to the stage.
The adventure, humour and razor-sharp character observation of The London Eye
Mystery will appeal to anyone captivated by detective stories from Sherlock
Holmes to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
