Wildcat Publishing Launches The Oil & Gas Year Qatar 2011

DOHA, Qatar, October 10, 2011 -

International Energy publication The Oil & Gas Year launched its Qatar 2011 publication in a ceremony taking place at Doha Intercontinental Hotel on Monday October 10, 2011.  The Oil & Gas Year Qatar 2011 will be the fourth edition of the annual report focusing on the country’s vibrant hydrocarbons industry.

The Oil & Gas Year Qatar 2011 is a comprehensive and up-to-date guide to Qatar’s energy industry, looking at the projects, companies, players and authorities involved the country’s oil and gas industry.

The book features contributions from some of the leading figures in the industry, including Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, Nasser K. Al Jaidah, CEO Qatar Petroleum International and Sheikh Kalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, CEO of Qatargas and Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi, Vice Chairman of Qatar Petroleum.

The launch featured a speech by H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Al Ibrahim, General Secretariat for Development and Planning, received The Oil & Gas Years Man of the Year” award for his role as one of the key architects of Qatar’s Vision 2030.

Qatar’s stellar energy infrastructure development has marked the past decade with world-class projects and global vision,” said Gilles Valentin, Editor-in-Chief of The Oil & Gas Year. “The Oil & Gas Year Qatar is a key guide to the country’s development as a hydrocarbons giant, and the 2011 edition will be an indispensible guide for the global energy industry as it convenes on the country on the occasion of the XXth World Petroleum Congress to be held in Doha in December.”

Wildcat Publishing produces the series of Oil & Gas Year reports, covering territories from the Americas to the Gulf and Southeast Asia. It is distributed to 104 countries and is circulated to more than 24,000 in oil and gas executives, financiers and academics.
