LONDON - Willie Walsh, CEO of BA, will make the keynote address at the 23rd IR Society Annual Conference, on Tuesday 21 April. Dr Vince Cable MP, Deputy Leader and Shadow Chancellor for the Liberal Democrats, will address the closing plenary.
Over 250 investor relations and financial professionals will attend the conference which will be held at the Brewery, Chiswell Street, London.
Given the unprecedented times we have witnessed in financial markets, and the likelihood of economic pain to be endured for some years to come as the banking and public sectors are recapitalised, competition to secure scarce and costly capital is intense. More than ever the role of Investor Relations in optimising the cost of capital is in the spotlight and this year’s conference aims to help in house teams and advisers navigate the new landscape.
