This watercolour was painted in 1886 at Dalaro, when Anders Zorn was 26
years old and happily newly married; it is his wife Emma that is depicted on
the jetty. Anders Zorn is considered one of the world's foremost watercolour
painters and his skills depicting the variations and reflections of the
water's surface are unsurpassed in this very difficult technique.
